Just another day in the life of an angel...

Well, its just an ordinary day. I've been getting into everything as usual and driving mommy up the wall! I just love to get into the trash in the kitchen and everything else I know I'm not supposed to get into. Another favorite mystery is the ashes in the fireplace. I know they don't taste good but I just can't resist putting a handful in my mouth. Its just so much fun to keep mommy on her toes. She says that if I'm good today, maybe we can go to the park because its so nice out! I'll post some pics of it later. Here is a picture of me getting into the cabinet...

Let me introduce myself....

Hello, my name is Desmond (everyone calls me Desi) and I am two and a half years old. Let me start out by telling you a little bit about my life. I was born on June 23, 2005 to my mommy, Brandi and my daddy, Santoy. I was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma. I now live in Moore, Oklahoma. I was born a happy, healthy boy and mom says I was such a good baby. When I started getting a little older, my mommy worried that I wasn't doing all the things most babies do so she took me to some doctors who said I had cerebral palsy. But that just didn't seem right to mommy. Right before I turned two I got sick, I started having seizures and mommy took me to the hospital. The doctors said I had strep and a double ear infection. They wanted to do an MRI of my brain to find out what was going on with the seizures and when I was coming out of the anesthesia, I stopped breathing. It scared mommy pretty good. They intubated me and put me in the PICU and ended up taking out my tonsils (which mommy had been begging them to do for months). Mommy and daddy stayed at the hospital with me the entire week. When we got home, mommy decided to do some research on the internet and found some information about Angelman Syndrome and knew right away that she had an angel on her hands! After pushing the doctors to do the right testing, mommy got her comfirmation that I have AS which explains my silly, happy self! I hope you enjoy my blogs and photos.....
